Jonathan Chi is a social worker that has been working with populations experiencing homelessness since 2009. He received his Bachelors and Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Utah, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Jonathan's experience in homeless services in Salt Lake City ranged from medical social work in a homeless clinic setting to case management and housing services working at the largest homeless shelter in Utah. Jonathan relocated to Los Angeles in 2014 and directed various housing, and employment programs at a local homeless service agency prior to joining the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority in 2016. Jonathan currently serves as LAHSA's Quality Standards and Special Projects Manager. The position focuses on participant experience and ADA support and compliance in addition to overseeing a project manager team that supports the development of various Los Angeles County and City homeless initiatives such as safe parking, hygiene, storage and temporary shelter structure development.
