Kate Cantrell currently serves as Regional Network Director with the Strategic Partnerships department at Youth Villages, a national non-profit organization with a mission to help children and families live successfully. Based in Los Angeles, Kate is responsible for leading Youth Villages’ partnership efforts on the West Coast. In this role, she helps identify and support other high-quality local providers that can implement Youth Villages’ effective and innovative programs, such as YVLifeSet and YVIntercept.
Kate has over twenty years of experience providing and supervising direct services for youth and families in a variety of locations across the country. Fifteen of these have been with Youth Villages where most recently she served as the State Director of Community Based Services in Georgia. Both her first job in the field and her first role at Youth Villages gave her the opportunity to work directly with young people aging out of the foster care system. Kate remains passionate about this population. She is dedicated to working alongside other providers and stakeholders to build capacity for high-quality services and supports for transition-age youth.
Kate holds a bachelor's degree in sociology from Pennsylvania State University and a master's degree in community agency counseling from the University of Memphis.
